“AQUARIUS” project

“AQUARIUS” project

Irina Taneva is delighted to invite you to her “AQUARIUS” project, presented by Bulgarian Culture Institute in London, under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bulgaria. The project includes an Exhibition opening and a Fashion Presentation of her clothing designs.

The exhibition features new oil on canvas paintings that explore sensual, delicate and emotional posture of a female nude. The presence and the movement of the female body in the space are influenced by water and its fluid form. Using washed colours and watercolour techniques with oil on canvas she represents the depth of the female spirit.

“Creating paintings is my way to express my inner energy, impressions and emotions, my way of speaking to the world. I enjoy painting with oil on canvas and very often through this I visualize an idea which I need to rework and realise in different materials like fabrics. This is the way my fashion ideas are born. The purpose of my clothing is to cover the body in the healthiest way so as to sculpture the silhouette and make every woman look beautiful, feel free and confident.” I. Taneva

The fashion presentation shows Irina’s autumn / winter 2017 women’s clothing collection. It is a mix of fashion techniques and fine art through bold handmade embroideries. All fashionistas could enjoy spectacular and memorable outfits from this collection, presented during London Fashion Week.
